Audience Rating For ADI VISHNU
RAMBLINGS
ADI VISHNU and me had a boxing bout in a dilapidated theatre. Yes guys n gals… how else could I explain what I went through when I was watching this movie? I consider DASARI NARAYANA RAO as one of the most Daring, Sensible, Analytical and above all commercially successful Directors of Telugu Cinema Industry. But that was history. And history doesn’t repeat itself here. I expected a Routine-Commercial-Pot-Boiler, but never the torture that I went through.
PERFORMANCES

When the story itself was written in a crude way, there is no scope for etching any characters.
- My deepest sympathies and regards to the only talent present in the whole movie… KOTA SRINIVASA RAO. It is really a pity that Telugu film industry is unable to cook up some meaty characters for these LEGENDARY actors.
- SUMAN’s performance can be passed as Okay at best. He was never a good actor. But, commercially one of the most successful Directors, Shankar, was able to present him in Sivaji as a humble and yet menacing businessman. Well, that was Sivaji… and this is Adi Vishnu.
- PRADEEP RAWAT in the same lungi-wearing-Gunda role for an umpteenth time and ISHWARYA as the menacing and barking extortionist never promised much in terms of performances.
- SNEHA, in her tryst with glamour roles made a mockery of herself. Generally female lead actresses start with glamour-oriented roles then graduate to some performance-oriented roles. But, she is winding the key in the wrong direction. She looks old and too plump in her cheeks… almost like she is chewing a pan.
- DASARI ARUN KUMAR never puts even a semblance of effort to improve his Body Language, Dialogue Delivery, Expressions and what not… The only area that he excels are fights. Even those fights are like flying saucers that we are used to… courtesy Stunt Directors RAM-LAKHSMAN.
- VENU MADHAV, ALI, M S NARAYANA are simply disgusting. There is a pathetic parody on Dasavatharam by venu Madhav. In a hint of creative exhaustion, Dasari copies Ali as a painter from SUPER.
TECHNICALLY SPEAKING

- MUSIC by M M SREELEKHA is… hmmm… CRAP.
- CINEMATOGRAPHY by T SURENDER REDDY is unimaginative.
- SCREENPLAY by Dasari narayana Rao coupled with the cheaply done Editing, is the lowest point of the movie. Writing an old fashioned commercial pot boiler is the easiest thing to do in the film world. And this Legendary Director and Writer, inexplicably made a mockery of the film. For example, there are a lot of continuity errors in the movie. 1) In the first kidnap scene, the body of a kidnapped girl arrives in a suitcase seconds after the villains decide to kill her. 2) The Chief Minister’s character portrayed by Suman, starts off as a fierce badman masked by humility. But later on turns in to a spine less character. 3) Although too technical, hero Adi Vishnu is projected as The-Next-Big-Thing in Technology. In the interview, he explains a lot of shit… My qualms are… from where does ERP (Enterprise Resource planning) come in to Anti-Virus Chip? When did Microsoft endorse the list of Anti-Virus softwares that he enlists… from Norton - McAfee - QuickHeal and what not. All i can say is that Hollywood takes care of even these minute things… that’s why they are the best in the business. 4) in the second fighting, hero Adi Vishnu fights without the helmet and still no reference is made that the beaten up gundas recognise him.
- Background Music & Dubbing never sync in the movie. So much so that sometimes, we hear Adi Vishnu speaking and his mouth never opens.
- DIRECTION by BHARATH PAREPALLI is as good as his earlier venture MAISAMMA IPS.
Although off-topic, I feel politicians that have the responsibility of governing us have no business in films. They should stop working for one or the other. And when they still manage both, they should maintain some ETHICS. In this case, Dasari Narayana Rao, in his tryst to launch his son as a hero forgets the minimum social responsibility that even we practice unconsciously. He concocts a vicious circle of terrorism from within the government (Although Censored… it is Chief Minister Suman dressed as yesteryear real life CM to be precise). He stoops so low that he writes a scene where a fellow villain of CM tries to rape CM’s wife and the couple almost succumbs.
In the end, to put the movie in one single line, Arun Kumar excels in one expression… BLANK & DUMB FACE.

Summary Line really awesome, pity ur luck man. No respite for U.
Dear Ramesh,
Some of these movies do teach “HOW NOT TO MAKE A MOVIE…” That is the only positive outcome.
Kalcha, my Dear, they have moved u to tears not through gr8 but awful film making :-D
Looks like Dasari Narayana Rao got his brain damaged after Osey Ramulamma!
On one hand,I find several of his old films to be extra-ordinary when I watch them in T.V. and on the other hand he’s coming up with disgusting stuff offlate!
After K.Viswanath,Dasari is the director I admired a lot though(Among Telugu film directors)
Dear Ganesh,
YES. I totally agree. There were some more that I consider to be legendary in Telugu Cinema. I personally feel that to become legendary, one needs to have his/her own stamp on the style of making movies. Dasari Narayana Rao is the most daring and the most commendable Legendary Director who is equally comfortable with Big Stars and also Non-Star films. He has many Hits without the stars as well most of the times based on innovative subjects.
Lol!That ‘Antha scene ledamma’ you’ve written in that pic was extremely funny! :-D
:-D
Thanks Ganesh…
Another thing, the laptop in the picture does not seemed to be switched on,on the monitor,I rather find the image of the greenery outside the window!
GANESH,
Oh… I never observed that. Now, when you point it out… it seems indeed true. :-D
