ANKIITH, PALLAVI & FRIENDS is a Low-Budget-Limited release with about 35 Prints. It is really quite amusing that the Producers are calling it a Worldwide-Release. In contrast, CHRISTIAN BALE had a Limited-Release in 2006 in RESCUE DAWN. Earlier he gave BATMAN BEGINS (Super-High-Budget-Worldwide-Release) in 2005 and DARK KNIGHT (Super-High-Budget-Worldwide-Release) in 2008. Even HAPPY DAYS which released with 11 Prints in US and 30+ Prints in AP, was called a Limited release. My hats-off to SHEKHAR KAMMULA for being so practical and humble. So, why should we be hypocritical? Just by sending a couple of Prints to US, a movie doesn’t become a World-Wide-Release. It is better to call Ankith, Pallavi & Friends, a Limited release.

Now lets get in to the finer details of the potential of this release. World over, a limited release is always a low-risk formula. You get back your investment even if it manages to be an average grosser. And if it happens to be a hit, there is always scope for increasing the number of Prints as in the case of Happy Days. The parties involved loses money only when the movie fails miserably.

Ankith, Pallavi & Friends is going to be commercially successful to the extent that it would make everyone involved some DECENT PROFITS. That would help them to look for BETTER SCRIPT to Produce as their next project.
