Dharma Productions Paid Rs 3 Crore To PNC For One Song

DOSTANA had scary moments just before its release. Just about 3 days prior to the release of the film, PNC (Pritish Nandy Communications) filed a case against DHARMA PRODUCTIONS of Dostana for using one of the songs that indeed belonged to PNC. The song in question is Kuch Kum.

According to some loose reports… the song Kuch Kum was originally composed by VISHAL - SHEKHAR for a film which was to be directed by TARUN MANSUKHANI for the PNC Banner. But the project never took off and the song was lying unused. So, the director of Dostana Tarun Mansukhani went ahead with the song in Dostana of Dharma Productions. But when Pritish Nandy heard the song and was flabbergasted with the development and raised objection with its makers, Dharma Productions. So, in order to avoid unnecessary legal complications, Dharma Productions reportedly paid up Rs 3 Crores in an Out-Of-Court-Settlement to PNC.

WOW! What an expensive song…!!!
